For my first post, I thought I would just introduce myself. It’s always nice to put a face to your photographer before you meet them, let alone a face to the name. When you meet at a location, you want to know who to look for. I also want to tell you a little bit about why I love what I do.
I’m Sabrina. A mum of a 1 year old, Lily, who loves posing for me, most of the time. I live with my partner in West Sussex, we are so lucky to be in a beautiful location. If you have never lived or visited the South, do it. The South Downs are lovely and the beach and the gardens are priceless.
Where it all began
When I was younger, I was always taking photographs of family and editing them. The ‘proper’ photography started 5 years ago, when my parents bought my first Digital SLR, an entry-level Canon. I absolutely love Canon. College came and went, then after college I moved to Cyprus and started my first photography business. When I came home, I started Flashsnap, which was just over 2 years ago now. Shortly after I began Flashsnap, my partner and I found out I was pregnant which, brought on some expected time off. Since having my daughter, Flashsnap has grown considerably, with a variety of shoots.
I became a photographer because I have a passion for taking photographs. I started with landscapes and wildlife, then became a portrait photographer, learned more about how to photograph families, newborns, and weddings, simply because I enjoyed it. I look forward to every single shoot, because I love learning on the job as well as capturing the beautiful memories my clients will look at for the rest of their lives.
