It’s always sad to come to the end of a wedding season, however its lovely to end it with a beautiful wedding day!
Maria and Marty got married at a gorgeous church in the middle of Shoreham, West Sussex then held their celebrations at the beautiful Hollingbury Golf Course just north of Brighton, East Sussex. The views from the golf course were absolutely amazing and I couldn’t have hoped for a better venue to shoot my last full day wedding of the season at.
Amazingly with an October wedding the weather was beautiful sunshine! Though I don’t think it would of mattered if it had rained! The families were supportive to both bride and groom and the day was just brilliant.
Meeting The Family
I shot Maria and her bridesmaids getting ready while my second shooter went with the groom and best men. I find having a second shooter amazing on weddings days because brides are always curious as to what their grooms actually got up to the morning of the big day! -There were tears at both parties I am told!-
Maria’s family were lovely. As soon as I arrived everyone was very welcoming and we had tons of photography opportunities from that first second. Maria came down in her dress a little while after I arrived and she had the whole house in tears – she looked absolutely stunning.
Both venue were fabulous, St Mary’s church is open to the public all year round. The detail of the stain glass windows and the features of the church itself is so incredible I would recommend to go and see it. The Hollingbury golf course is also a great venue, the dance is big and the bar only steps away! The staff, along with Maria and Marty decorated the building beautifully with a lot of the little things that represented the happy couple. I love it when the personal touches are introduced into a special day.
I loved shooting with the now, Tanner family and I am so lucky to be able to share the highlights of their day with you. Here’s just a selection of the photographs taken – some of my favourite ones of the day <3
